Xiadu Park was first established in 1995 by excavating lakes along the upper reaches of the Gui River that flows through Yanqing County. Originally the old riverbed of the Gui River, it complements and enhances the Gui Chuan Square, a well-known green space built in 1998 across the city. The park covers a total area of 3,500 acres, with a water area of 1,000 acres. It is divided into two lake areas by the Gui River Bridge. There is a 18,000 square meter golf practice field built in the lake area, with a tee area of 1,224 square meters. On one side of the practice field, a fitness park is equipped with more than ten types of fitness equipment for visitors to relax and exercise. In the middle of the north bank, there is a 2,900 square meter water stage, where large-scale cultural performances can be held. On both the east and west sides of the lake, there are more than 3,500 square meters of boat docks, from which all water activities start. In the southeast corner of the park, there is a dynamic cinema with a construction area of 500 square meters. In the middle of the lake, there is a large laser music fountain composed of 551 spray nozzles of various sizes and 256 colored lights, with a spray diameter of 80 meters and a maximum lift height of 118 meters. It is a beautiful scenery spot in the park and also the focus of tourists’ attention. Opening hours: The park is open all day, all year round.
