Tai Zhen Cave, a karst cave situated 38 kilometers north of Qujiang District, is part of Tai Zhen Township within the same district. It boasts an altitude of 265 meters and offers a substantial area for visitors to explore, covering approximately 8474 square meters. The cave extends to a total length of 1147.2 meters and is intricately designed, featuring seven palaces, two halls, and one platform, all hosting over a hundred scenic spots.
The cave is renowned for the ‘Three Wonders of Tai Zhen,’ which draw attention from around the globe. The first wonder is the unique structure of caves within caves, interconnected and offering extraordinary scenery. The second wonder presents a fairy-tale landscape with fields, ponds, crisscrossing paths, and small bridges over streams, creating a boundless and enchanting vista. The third wonder is the ethereal fairy air that lingers atop the cave, especially during the early morning, evening, and midnight, providing a mystical experience as the Taoist fairy air seems to rush towards the visitors.
The cave maintains a comfortable average annual temperature of 17 degrees Celsius, with fresh air and a pleasant climate. It is particularly inviting during the summer months when the outside world is sweltering with heat, while inside the cave, a cool breeze offers a refreshing and delightful respite. Tai Zhen Cave is open to visitors all year round, with operating hours from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
