This year, we celebrate the 180th anniversary of the birth of Mr. Wu Changshuo. The Shanghai Wu Changshuo Memorial Hall, a public welfare cultural venue, is dedicated to enhancing the confidence in Shanghai’s school of culture. It aims to expand the regional influence of Shanghai’s school of art, which is represented by Wu Changshuo.
The ‘Golden Stone Friendship – Wu Changshuo’s 180th Anniversary Inheritance Exhibition’ is a special event that showcases Wu Changshuo’s seal cutting art masterpieces, inscriptions, and other works from various historical periods of his early, middle, and late life. Dozens of his excellent works are gathered together in one place for this occasion.
In addition to Wu Changshuo’s original works, the exhibition also features the creations of seven representative calligraphers and seal carvers from the contemporary calligraphy world. These artists have re-created works based on Wu Changshuo’s seal cutting and poetry, contributing to the 180th anniversary commemorative series exhibition.
The exhibition is open from October 1st to December 22nd. Please note that specific business hours are subject to the conditions on the day.
