The Cai’s Ancestral Hall where the Ningbo Pewter Ware Museum is located is on Canghai Road. It has a history of more than 400 years. Built in the 16th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty, the existing main building was rebuilt in the ninth year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty, forming a unique architectural form of a combined ancestral hall for men and women.
