Homestay Museum is located in Minle Village, Gaoqiao Town, Yinzhou District. The garden, built with funds raised by local farmer and collector Weng Linfang, is a large garden covering 24 acres and stands out from other private museums. In addition to furniture and antiques, stone bridges, long corridors, and entire buildings are also part of the collection.
Homestay Museum houses several cultural relics buildings that Weng Linfang has acquired and dismantled from various places. Among them, the Zhen Yintang is a Qing Dynasty residential building with three rooms and one alleyway in Ningbo; the Qi Jian Lou is a late Qing Dynasty building with seven bays; the Datong Hall is a Ming Dynasty official hall relocated from the Jinhua area; the Pin Jian Xuan is a three-room, one alleyway building from the Ming Dynasty; the Qi Zhu Ju is a building with three rooms, one alleyway, and two side rooms; the Qian Jin Ge is a Qing Dynasty women’s bedroom with lattice windows and railings surrounding it; and the Tui Si Yuan is a late Ming Dynasty three-bay building in Xiaoshan, built by the medical official Wei after his retirement, with hollow-carved cow feet on the four pillars in front and also carved with ‘fishing’, ‘woodcutting’, ‘farming’, ‘reading’.
Opening hours are from Tuesday to Sunday, 08:30 – 16:00 all year round. The museum is closed all day on Mondays, except for holidays. Specific opening hours are subject to the notice at the scenic spot.
