Huaxia Treasure Museum, situated on the first floor of Building 1 in Courtyard 58, Jianguo Road, Chaoyang District, is nestled within the courtyard of the Shanxi Merchants Museum. This museum is a testament to the grandeur and magnificence of oriental architecture, featuring ancient buildings adorned with grey bricks and tiles.
Upon entering the hall, one is greeted by carved beams and painted pillars, a sight that enhances the traditional Chinese aesthetic. The exquisitely carved furniture, reminiscent of the Ming and Qing dynasties and crafted from precious woods, offers visitors an artistic appreciation of Chinese indoor furnishings.
As you move through the museum, classical music akin to the sounds of nature accompanies you, inviting you to savor the jade carving art feasts that depict landscapes, flowers and birds, figures, and more. Each piece contains the essence of heaven and earth, showcasing the intricate craftsmanship.
Marvel at the filigree inlay art works of gold and silver, a luxury once reserved for the royal family over 2400 years. Also on display are cloisonné and carved lacquer, each telling a story of their own.
In the ceramic area, you’ll find stories that are both tortuous and moving, reflecting the historical process and transition of ceramics.
The museum is open from 09:00 to 17:00 all year round, and from 09:00 to 18:00 all year round. Please note that entry is only granted after making an online reservation.
