Steely Heart Band, founded in 2007, has been on a journey of musical experimentation, blending diverse styles into their unique sound. With a wealth of experience from years of live performances, they have crafted an extensive repertoire of performing arts. Their stage presence is characterized by an uninhibited, interactive approach, which has evolved into a distinctive live performance style. This style is rooted in the band’s core belief: to create music that brings them joy, which they hope will resonate with others who share their passion.
The release of their Chinese singles ‘Champion’ and ‘Dragon King’ marked a new chapter for Steely Heart, as they push the boundaries of their music by exploring more style changes and delving deeper into Chinese song creation. Their ambition is clear: to advance further in the world of music.
In contrast, Brain Failure Band, also known as Brian Finley, has been a stalwart of the Chinese punk scene since their formation in 1997. They were an active part of the underground rock movement in the 1990s and made a significant leap by signing with an overseas record company at the turn of the century. Their music is a paradoxical blend of the vulgar and the elegant, the dirty and the catchy, which quickly won them a global following.
Despite their international success, with numerous tours across the United States and Japan and performances at major music festivals both within and beyond the Milky Way, they have maintained their connection to the underground scene. A testament to their influence, the first Live House in China was opened for Brain Failure, and they continue to be a driving force in promoting Chinese punk culture. Known for their chaotic live performances, they are also the only Chinese band to have graced the cosmic stage, a feat that sets them apart in the domestic music scene. The event will be open on Friday, November 8th, starting at 20:00. The exact duration of the performance will be determined on site.
